Johanna Sprague is an artist & designer living in Oakland, California. A Massachusetts native, she studied at RISD and The Museum School of Fine Arts, Boston then went on to earn a BS in International Trade and Marketing from The Fashion Institute of Technology in 2006.
After worked for a couple years as an interior designer for Jonathan Adler in Boston she became inspired to pursue a more wholistic approach to space and moved west to earn her certification at The Golden Gate School of Feng Shui. She currently works out of her Oakland studio traveling throughout California and New England to consult and exhibit.
With a discerning eye and a focus on financial and environmental sustainability, she curates spaces that help people feel peaceful, healthy and inspired to thrive.
Her artwork is an amalgam of elements from travels which she merges to create one of a kind installations, home decor, sculpture and jewelry. Everything takes shape as she melds refined and ordinary elements while delivering an unexpected elegance and engaging people to consider a balanced relationship with nature, art and consumption.
In gratitude, a percentage of all artwork sales are donated to the Natural Resources Defense Council in an effort to preserve the landscapes that nourish her work.
